Pedestrian Walkway in Barra Accommodation is readily available from $25.00/night to $500.00/night. (All quotes in U.S. funds). Christmas books up very early, as well as Carnival Week (count back 40 days from Easter). Other than that you can usually arrive anytime and find accommodation that same day.

ON THE BEACH

Hotel Barra de Navidad --- $80.00, single slightly less. (60 rooms)
Swimming pool, half the rooms have ocean view with large private balconies, t.v., hot water showers, full maid service, front desk phone, ceiling fans, and air conditioning.

CasaChips --- $100.00 - $60.00, some with kitchens. Terrific location, and a great restaurant downstairs. www.casachips.com

Boga Vante --- Down after Hurricane 2000 is currently being rebuilt;

OFF THE BEACH

Posada Pacifico --- $20.00 double, single slightly less. (35 rooms)
Nothing fancy, but clean, functional rooms with double beds, full maid service, hot water (usually), ceiling fans, 3 block walk to beach. (315) 355-5359 English spoken (most shifts).

Cabo Blanco --- $100.00 double, single slightly less.
Swimming pool, t.v., air conditioning, laptop hook up, 6 blocks walk to beach.

Grand Bay Hotel --- $400.00 double
The works. On the Isla de Navidad, a small island, 5 minute boat ride from the town.

Hotel Delfin --- $50.00 double (30 rooms)
Very well kept, nice private poolside (small pool), good off the beach location.

5 air-conditioned bungalows with kitchenettes, & private pool, 3 blocks to beach.

* * * Costa Doradofor some reason, Tom's page neglects these very practical bungalows -- Mexican code word for a glorified hotel room with kitchen facilities. Different suites have different pricing, they are very centrally located.
